Donald LeRoy Stone, age 80 of Clarksville, passed away Saturday, May 29, 2021 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
He was born August 6, 1940, in Dodge City, Kans. to the late LeRoy Edgar Stone and Elizabeth M. Reinert Stone.
Stone was a US Air Force veteran. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and the Old West Reenactment Association “Riverchase Posse.” He was a graduate of the University of Kansas, where he attained his bachelors and masters degrees, and later worked in city management.
Donald is survived by his son, Sean A. (Brigitte) Stone of Elkton, Ky; daughter, Nicole D. (Jonathan) Hopper of Elkton, Ky and four grandchildren, Elizabeth M. Hopper, Thomas A. Hopper, Ashlie Staples and James Bishop. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Jean Stone and two sisters, Wilma W. Hall and Wilda I. Mueller.
Visitation will be Saturday, June 5, from 2 to 6 p.m. at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home. A memorial mass will be held Tuesday, June 15, at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Inurnment will follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West in Hopkinsville.
