CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Animal Control received a call of a dog stranded off Lock C on Lylewood Rd. Thursday.
The dog had fallen down an embankment with a cement wall and could not get back up.
Animal Control assessed the situation and called for backup. Officer Thompson with the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency arrived with his boat and Officers Cook and Louk were able to retrieve the very scared dog.
The dog was full of bug bites, scratches and abrasions from the thicket, and hungry. She was taken back to Animal Control and after a meal fell fast asleep.
