CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Residents of the Dog Hill Historic District in downtown are inviting the public to view the candlelit luminaries that they will have on display on the evening of December 20.

“Illuminating Dog Hill” will take place from dusk until 8 p.m. throughout the neighborhood. This is the first time the residents are organizing the holiday event.

The Dog Hill Historic District includes the area of Munford Avenue, First, Union, Madison and Second Streets.

Visitors may drive through the area, but should be aware that South First Street is a dead end. Parking will be available in the Montgomery County lot at the corner of South Second and Union Streets for those who wish to enjoy the display on foot.

Residents are hopeful that this event will help “illuminate” the importance and value of the unique historic district.
