CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – A Clarksville man was charged with animal cruelty after his dog was found in poor condition.

According to an arrest warrant, an officer visited a home on S. Jordan Dr. Nov. 13 to conduct a welfare check and found a boxer on the back deck.

The dog was emaciated and freezing and the temperature was 25 degrees at the time. “The dog had no body fat and was hunched over and shivering,” the report stated.

Authorities seized the dog to provide humane treatment.

Dustin Sneyd, 33, was arrested and charged with aggravated animal cruelty. His bond was set at $5,000.
