CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – 19th Judicial District Attorney Robert Nash was recently endorsed by Congressman Mark Green.

“Robert Nash is the real deal. Our communities are safer because he is our district attorney. I wholeheartedly endorse Robert Nash to continue as our district attorney,” Green said.

“When you think about what that district attorney means to our community, providing the safe place for all of us, I can’t support anybody but Robert,” Green said. “He’s tried more murder cases, at times probably two or three (at a time) than anybody running in this race.”

Gov. Bill Lee appointed then-Assistant District Attorney Nash to the office of district attorney in 2021. Nash is running in the Republican primary with two opponents, 23rd District Assistant DA Steve Powers and Assistant City Attorney Neil Stauffer.

“I’m honored and humbled by Congressman Green’s endorsement,” Nash said. “I’ve admired his professionalism and courage in representing our state for many years. His endorsement of my campaign to remain the district attorney for Montgomery and Robertson counties gives me a lot of encouragement as we enter early voting.”
