FORT CAMPBELL, Ky. – As part of Military Survivor Appreciation Week, Fort Campbell Survivor Outreach Services constructed a moving display of nearly 7,000 combat boots to honor fallen military members.

Boots have been collected from military service members across Fort Campbell and abroad to honor fallen service members who died in the support ofboots-display-for-fallen the Global War on Terror since September 11, 2001.

This display of combat boots honors the memories and sacrifice of the military men and women who gave their lives while serving our country. Each boot is adorned with a photo of a service member, date of death and which conflict served or location stationed.

The boots will be moved to line the route of the Hero and Remembrance Run, Walk or Roll, which will be held Saturday at Fort Campbell’s Town Center. Find more info here.
