DICKSON COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) – The mother and stepfather of a 3-month-old girl who died in February 2017 in Dickson County have been charged with the child’s death.
The Dickson County Sheriff’s Office reported deputies responded to a home on Claylick Road in White Bluff on Feb. 8, 2017 to investigate the death of a child in the care of her mother, Rachel Earps, and stepfather, Curtis Hall.
Once the investigation was complete, a grand jury returned indictments for reckless homicide, aggravated child abuse and neglect for Earps and Hall in the death of Layne Earps Rachford.
Hall was arrested in April and is scheduled to appear in court on May 15.
Earps is being held on a $100,000 bond and is due in court on June 25.
