CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (Clarksvillenow.com) Clarksville Fire Rescue said goodbye to Deputy Chief Howell Albright in a retirement ceremony Thursday. Albright started with the city in 1975 and served almost 41 years as a firefighter.
Public Information Officer for Clarksville Fire Rescue, Ray Williams said it is a large loss with Albright’s retirement. “Chief Albright has been instrumental with a lot of firefighters here including myself. We learned from him, we trained under him and his years of experience will be missed,” said Williams.
Williams added that he knew it was a childhood dream of Albright’s to become a firefighter and he got to live his dream job, and that doesn’t always happen for everybody. Albright was also presented with a “Key to the City” by Mayor Kim McMillan at the ceremony.
Congratulations goes out to Williams because he was promoted and is taking Albright’s position as Deputy Chief of Clarksville Fire Rescue. For the time being he will also continue as Public information Officer.
