CLARKSVILLE, TN – The Deputy Bubba Johnson Memorial Road Race will be returning for its 8th year on Aug. 13 at Beachaven Vineyards and Winery (1100 Dunlop Lane).
The race will begin at 8 p.m., so participants should arrive between 7 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. There is a $25 entry fee, which includes race entry and finishers medal. A limited number of race T-shirts will be available for purchase the night of the race for $20. While there is no official category this year for our four-legged friends, all well-behaved dogs are welcome to bring along their registered human runners and run along with them.
Online Registration cut-off is midnight on Aug. 10, and there is no race day registration this year.
The 5K race is held annually in memory of Deputy Bubba Johnson, who lost his life in a motor vehicle accident on Jan. 12, 2014 while on duty with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office. Bubba had also served with the Montgomery County Emergency Medical Service and Clarksville Police Department.
Proceeds from the event directly benefit the spouses and families of Tennessee law enforcement officers who are killed or seriously injured in the line of duty.
