CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Local college Daymar Institute presented a check to Manna Cafe in the amount of $1,000 Friday, June 6.

The funds were raised during the past weekend at the Jazz and Blues Festival held by Daymar. Campus President Katharine Purnell presented the donation, accompanied by ten students to help volunteer.

Located at 1319 Franklin Street, Manna Cafe Ministries offers food and shelter to those in need in the community. Volunteers assist Tennesseans who are low income or disabled. Those who qualify for state assistance programs such as Families First and EBT automatically qualify to participate in Manna Cafe’s assistance.

Donations can be made on Manna Café’s website and donated goods are always appreciated, including canned foods and bottled water. The community can also volunteer with various tasks. To sign up, email volunteer@mannacafeministries.com.
