CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Daymar Institute will host  a screening for bone marrow donors on June 1 from 9am to 1pm.

As the search continues for positive organ donors worldwide, it is vital to screen for possible donors to be matched with organs.

Bone marrow is a tissue needed for many different medical procedures. However a positive match must be made before the marrow can be transplanted.

Screening for donors is not difficult and can be completed quickly.

This is a free opportunity for the community to help those in need. The screening will be held at the school on 2691 Trenton Rd.

The testing, which consists of swabbing the inside of the mouth, can be completed in under a minute and someone can be on the registry to help save a live.
