CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Raymond Ada, Campus President has joined the Daymar College family as of Monday, August 28, 2017 leading the Clarksville campus located at 2691 Trenton Road, Clarksville, Tennessee 37040.
Raymond, better known as Ray, has relocated from Colorado Springs, Colorado and has embraced the community-centered area of Clarksville.
He brings over 15 years of campus operations experience in the education sector, formerly serving in leadership roles of Campus Director, Campus President, Dean of Faculty and Dean of Students for several post-secondary schools in the state of Colorado and Missouri. In addition, Ray has taught at the University of Phoenix as an Adjunct Instructor both in the on-ground and on-line learning environments teaching various undergraduate business courses with an emphasis on Leadership in Organizational Management, Organizational Behavior, and Management: Theory, Practice, and Application.
Ray also currently serves as a Team Leader for the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC) for 3+ years and has experience in the accreditation processes in on-site evaluations for renewal of accreditation. Also, he has served as a board member for the Colorado Private School Association (CPSA) which is an organization that supports/advocates for the proprietary education sector which is now known as the Colorado Association of Career Colleges and Schools (CACCS).
Ray graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Rehabilitative Services from the University of Northern Colorado, a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Phoenix and a Master of Arts degree in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix. Also, he is working on a Ph. D. degree in Education Leadership from Capella University.
Some things that Ray enjoys include spending quality time with his beautiful wife and daughter, barbecuing island style ribs and chicken, listening to a variety of music and running/jogging outdoors. Having worked in the education sector for some time, Ray believes in creating a positive learning and working environment that is conducive to students, employees and the community. Also, Ray believes in the approach of student-centeredness, employee-centeredness and community-centeredness emphasizing action in each to foster a positive learning environment.
Ray’s home away from home is Colorado Springs. His cultural roots are on the island of Guam where his father is from, and the island of Saipan where his mother is from. Both islands are a part of the Marianas islands.
