MSGT David B. Chalmers, Marines (Ret) 72, passed away in his Dover, Tennessee home on July 3, 2020, after a lengthy battle with cancer caused by Agent Orange.
Dave was born June 14, 1948, in Detroit, Michigan the son of Archie and Veronica Chalmers. He is survived by his sister Kathleen(Mike) Harcourt and his brothers Michael, Archie, Doug(Jane) Chalmers; and his daughter Lisa(Justin) Gilbert and three granddaughters. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Bill and sister-in-law Kathy Chalmers.
Dave served his country in the U.S. Marine Corp. and retired after 20 years. Our “gung-ho” brother is now “at rest” and “free of pain”!
A special thank you is sent to Dr. Nancy B. Davis and her staff at Vanderbilt Medical Center and to his Hospice nurses for their special care and support throughout Dave’s cancer fight. A private burial will take place in Michigan at a later date.
