Darlene Sue Rye, age 67 of Erin, passed away Thursday, July 8, 2021.
She entered this life on January 17,1954 in Myserdale, Pa., the daughter to the late Harvey Crissinger and Agnes Caton Crissinger. She was a long time member of Paterson’s Chapel Revival Center.
Survivors include her loving husband of 45 years, James “Shorty” Rye, sons; Dathon Rye (Leslie) and Derreack Rye (Lisa). She also leaves behind her loving grandchildren, Harvey Rye, Ethan Rye, Collen Rye, Livia Rye and Chelsea Rye, as well as her two loving sisters, Marlene Sutton and Anna Pepper.
She had two dear friends who stuck by her side through thick and thin, Mrs. Wanda Arp and Mrs. Sue Dew.
A celebration of life service was held Sunday July 11 at the chapel of Nave Funeral Home, with Bro. Brian Taylor and Bro. Tony Baggettt officiating. The Rye family received friends on Saturday, July 10 and again on Sunday until the hour of service. Interment followed at Batson Cemetery, with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
