Daniel Lee Dyer, age 60, of Madison, passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2014.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Friday, February 7th at McFerrin Missionary Baptist Church, 431 W. Old Hickory Blvd., Madison, TN with Elder Johnny Carver officiating. Burial followed in Harpeth Hills Memorial Gardens with Elder Ronnie W. Stewart officiating graveside. The Family received friends from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday, February 6, 2014 and from 11 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Friday at McFerrin Missionary Baptist Church.

Danny was born June 17, 1953 in Nashville, TN to Myrtle Cox Dyer and the late Johnny J. Dyer. He was a graduate of Bellvue High School and received his bachelors degree from Trevecca University. He worked the majority of his life as an endorsed special education teacher. He was a sports official serving TSSAA Middle TN area for many years, a member of McFerrin Missionary Baptist Church and a precious man who lived life large.

Danny is survived by his loving wife of 39 1/2 years, Cynthia Louann Dyer; mother, Myrtle Dyer; brother and his wife, Gilbert and Deborah Dyer; sister-in-law and her husband, Kristi and Ronnie Stewart; brother-in-law and his wife, Rick and Myra Armstrong; nieces, Jennifer Carroll and her husband Chip, Stephanie and her husband Eric, Angela Stewart; nephew, Ricky Austin Armstrong. Family and friends served as pallbearers.
