Daniel Adam Sloane (age 37) passed away on July 24th, 2023. Daniel is the beloved son of Charles E. Sloane and Susan Jean (Rock) Sloane. He is also survived by his older sister, Rachel Sloane McPherson, her husband Jonathan McPherson, and their children Colin McPherson (age 9) and Chloe McPherson (age 8) as well as his sister, Leah H. Sloane, her husband Stephen Warren, and their children Jude Warren (age 10) and Dylan Warren (age 7). Daniel was an animal lover and cared deeply for his two Dauschunds, Charley (deceased) and Manny.

Daniel was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA. He graduated from the Pennsylvania State University with a B.S. in Turfgrass Science and started his career in the golf industry, working his way up to Assistant Superintendent at the Fox Chapel Golf Club. For the last seven years, Daniel worked as a Financial Advisor and Accredited Portfolio Maagment Advisor (APMA) for Carretta, Helfritch & Associates and where he was a tremendous asset to his clients and his colleagues.

Daniel was a green thumb and enjoyed landscaping and gardening in his free time; he created a beautiful backyard oasis in his home in North Versailles. He loved to play golf, snowboard, and kayak. Daniel was also a history enthusiast and collected many World War I artifacts; he took pleasure in sharing this interest with his father Charles. Daniel was an excellent uncle and took that job very seriously, providing his niece and nephews with over-the-top, completely age-inappropriate gifts and experiences, which were always met with their great delight.

Daniel will be laid to rest in the serene setting of Greenwood Cemetery in Clarksville, TN where he will be close to his family. The funeral service will be at Greenwood on Friday, July 28th at 11:00 a.m.CST.  Address is 976 Greenwood Avenue, Clarksville, TN 37040.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations made in Daniel’s memory to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention at https://supporting.afsp.org/campaign/Daniel-Sloane-Memorial-Fund
