Contributed commentary from City Councilperson Ward 3 DaJuan Little endorsing Josh Wikholm for City Council.

As I prepare to step down from my position as city councilperson of Ward 3, I reflect on the responsibility and trust that comes with serving this community. It has been my honor to represent the people of Clarksville, and now, as I pass the baton, I am confident that Josh Wikholm is the right person to take on this role.

Josh has served our country with distinction in the military, and his dedication to public service didn’t end when he left the armed forces. His commitment to ensuring that every voice in our community is heard and represented is unwavering. I have witnessed firsthand his determination to rise above personal attacks and challenges — he has never allowed negativity to detract from his mission of building a better Clarksville.

What sets Josh apart is his steadfast dedication to truth and service. He doesn’t view public office as a platform for division, but as an opportunity to unite people. He consistently demonstrates that it’s not about left versus right; it’s about doing what is right for everyone. His moral compass points toward integrity, fairness and inclusivity — values we need in our leaders today more than ever.

Josh is also deeply invested in our future. He understands the importance of creating opportunities for our children, ensuring that the next generation has the tools they need to succeed. His vision for improving Clarksville’s infrastructure, including easier commuting across the city, is essential as we continue to grow. And his focus on ensuring safety for all residents shows his comprehensive approach to making Ward 3, and Clarksville as a whole, a better place to live.

He also has a deep commitment to standing up for those who have been marginalized. Josh knows that a thriving community is one where everyone feels they belong, and he will fight for the underrepresented, ensuring that no one is left behind.

As I leave this seat, I do so knowing that Ward 3 will be in capable hands. Josh Wikholm embodies the leadership, compassion and vision that Clarksville needs. I urge you to join me in supporting him in the upcoming election — because with Josh on the City Council, I know Clarksville’s future is bright.
