Cynthia Cope Walker, 77, of Clarksville, TN, passed away on Wednesday, May 20, 2015, at her residence.
Cynthia was born on June 3, 1937, in Springfield, TN to the late Nathan Cope and Marye Fort Fletcher. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Edsol Walker.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 24, 2015 at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel with Rev. Steve Lannom officiating. Burial will be in Adams Cemetery in Adams, TN. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 23, 2015 and from 1 p.m. until the hour of service on Sunday, May 24, 2015 at the funeral home.
Cynthia enjoyed working at Hilldale Drugs for many years. She loved U.T. sports especially The Lady Vols. The Tennessee Titans and The New York Yankees were her other favorites. She loved her dogs, especially her precious Jeter. She was a member of a special group of ladies from her high school days at Jo Byrns, known as the “Fab Five.” She enjoyed being a dedicated homemaker, where she could take care of her family.
Cynthia is survived by her two sons, Johnny (Shirlaine) Walker and Bruce Walker; and three grandchildren, Jessica (Chris) Boehm, Jessica Ledbetter, and Morgan Ledbetter.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Seay, Chris Marchant, Jamie Herndon, Chris Boehm, David Bearden, and Bob Wilson. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Head and Tommy Herndon.
