CW2 Doyle D. Archie (US Army Retired), age 65, of Indian Mound, TN, died Tuesday, June 3, 2014, at St. Thomas Hospital West, in Nashville.
He was born in Elba, AL, to the late Clarence Archie and Mary Kersey Archie. Doyle was also preceded in death by three brothers, Ed, Billy, and Donald Archie.
Mr. Archie was a US Army Veteran, having retired after 21 years of service.
Funeral Service will be at noon on Friday, June 6 at the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home, with Pastor Larry Peters officiating. Burial will follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery – West, in Hopkinsville, KY, with full military honors.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the hour of service Friday at the funeral home.
Military personnel will serve as Pallbearers.
Doyle is survived by his wife of 35 years, Brenda Archie; daughter, Linda Archie and husband Aisar, of Berlin, Germany; two brothers, Tommy (Charlotte) Archie, of Elba, AL, and Dennis Archie, of Alabama; two sisters, Mary (Silas) Simms, of Elba, AL, and Brenda (Rob) Ridner.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Grace Lutheran Church, 2041 Madison Street, Clarksville, TN 37043, or to the American Heart Association, 1818 Patterson Street, Nashville, TN 37203.
