CLARKSVILLE, TN − Join us for this listen and learn happy hour featuring artists and writers from the Winter issue of Second and Commerce. Hear from artists and writers featured in the magazine: Alison Fullerton, Nashville-based encaustic wax artist whose FLY GIRLS exhibit features the WWII Women Air Force Service Pilots (WASPs); Jammie Williams, the bas-relief sculptor for the Country Music Hall of Fame; Laurina Lyle, water biologist who gave a recent TEDx Talk about water conservation; and Dr. Richard Gildrie, who will discuss the need to reevaluate the site of the Sevier Station Massacre.
We will have prizes for a brief trivia challenge, which will center on subjects from the talks with artists and writers and the stories in the magazine.
This History on the Rocks event at Strawberry Alley Ale Works is open to the public. Patrons will purchase their own food and drinks and will be able to choose from a selection of specialty cocktails for the event, featuring drinks based on the magazine articles for the Winter Issue. A select appetizer, dinner and dessert menu will be available.
