CLARKSVILLE, Tenn (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Customs House Museum and Cultural Center held its 11th annual Champagne & Chocolate fundraiser on Friday, January 17, raising a total of $24,911 for the museum.

Museum supporters gathered together downtown to hear live music, drink champagne and sample chocolate treats from local vendors. The evening also included an auction featuring donations from local businesses and craftsmen.

This is Frank Lott’s first Champagne & Chocolate as museum director, and he spoke to attendees offering his thanks for the community’s continued support.

“This is just a wonderful event for Clarksville and, not just those who love the museum, but those who love a good time. This is one of the most fun events that we do all year,” said Lott. “You know, the museum is such a treasure, and the museum guild and the folks that support all of these events, that help raise the kind of private money that we do, for exhibits and programs is just beyond describing how valuable that is to our community. I am so appreciative of the support that we get from the community.
