CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The Customs House Museum will be holding a Carved and Painted Pumpkin Contest in both youth (ages 10-17) and adult (ages 18 and up) categories.
Entry fee is $3 for youth and $5 for adults. Entries will be accepted at the museum Oct. 24 and 25 between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Pumpkins will be judged on how the carving looks in a dark room, lit by a provided LED light in side of the base of the pumpkin, carving skills and overall aesthetic appeal.
A Pumpkin Palooza event will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 28 at the museum, where ribbons and awards will be announced for the contest winners. Palooza admission is free to contestants or anyone in costume. Entries will be on display for guests to view. Light refreshments will be provided.
