CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The Customs House Museum & Cultural Center held its 41st Flying High fundraising gala on Saturday at Oak Grove Racing, Gaming & Hotel with over 400 people in attendance. This year’s Flying High was presented by Legends Bank with the theme being “Pop the Bubbly.”
The annual event brings supporters together for dinner, music and auctions to benefit the museum. The evening included both silent and live auctions featuring original artwork and experiences. Proceeds from Flying High are used to support the Customs House Museum exhibitions, educational programs and more.

The museum presented its annual Gracey Award, created to honor exceptional and loyal support of the museum and community. This year’s recipient, Mark Holleman, was recognized for his “long-standing involvement” and work on various projects and support for community programs.
Frank Lott, executive director of the Customs House Museum, explained the milestone of this year’s event. “This is the 41st Flying High, and that might sound rather typical, but we’re launching our fifth decade this year. … We’re working towards number 50.”
