CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library will host The Cumberland Winds Concert Band
on November 12 from 1-2 p.m.

The concert program’s theme is to honor veterans from the various branches of service. They will be performing patriotic arrangements of themes from “America,” “Shenandoah,” a special arrangement of “Fantasy on Yankee Doodle,” along with a salute to the Armed Forces.

They will also be performing a variety of music from Broadway musicals, film scores, marches, and standards. Featured during the performance is Rick Steffen, who will perform the trumpet solo “Napoli.” In addition, they will play a suite from “Star Trek” and a piece titled “Young Person’s Guide to John Williams.”

The Cumberland Winds Concert Band is a community band made up of volunteer musicians. It consists of standard
instrumentation of a typical concert band or wind ensemble. Their goal is to create an environment that fosters music in the greater Cumberland River area through public concerts, musical support of private events, musical training and master classes.
