CLARKSVILLE, Tenn (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Clarksville Transit System (CTS) will again operate their Halloween-themed Spooky Special this year, offering free rides on Thursday, October 31.
The Spooky Special, or Spooky Bus as some call it, is a CTS Halloween tradition that started 28 years ago to help residents get acquainted with the transportation service and to thank consistent passengers.
Clarksville Academy art students have painted the bus with special Halloween oriented designs for the past 25 years.
Rides on the Spooky Special are free, and it will run on a variety of routes this Halloween. All of the trips originate from the Transit Center at 200 Legion Street.

The Spooky Special will operate on the following routes:
Thursday, Oct 31
Route 1 Fort Campbell, 7-9 a.m.
Route 3 Cunningham Loop, 9-11 a.m.
Route 6 Madison Street, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Route 511 Hilldale, 1-3 p.m.
Route 4 Peachers Mill Road, 3-5 p.m.
Route 8 Tennova Hospital/101st Express, 5-7 p.m.
Route 7 Governors Square Mall, 7-9 p.m.
If the artwork is not heavily impacted by weather, CTS will run the Spooky Bus on Friday, November 1, as well, with service on the following routes:

Route 2 Tiny town Road, 6:30-8:30 a.m.
Route 3 Cunningham Loop, 8:30-10:30 a.m.
Route 6 Madison Street, 10:30 a.m. to -12:30 p.m.
Route 7 Governors Square Mall, 12:30-2:30 p.m.
Route 2 Tiny Town Road, 2:30-4:30 p.m.
Route 3 Cunningham Loop, 4:30-6:30 p.m.
