CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) The Clarksville Transit System (CTS) has once again turned its Spooky Special bus loose on the streets of Clarksville.
It’s the 31st year the decorated bus has traveled throughout the city on Halloween offering free rides to those who dare to board the bus.
How did the Spooky Special get so spooky? Well, you can thank Robert Neitzke, an art teacher at Clarksville Academy, and 14 of his students who spent several hours Friday decorating the bus for its scary tour around Clarksville. Neitzke said it was the 17th year for him as an art teacher and Clarksville Academy students have worked on the bus 25 years.
The Spooky Special will run the streets of Clarksville Monday, October 30 and Tuesday, October 31 as CTS recognizes Halloween. There is no trick with riding the bus and of course the treat is a free ride.
