CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Clarksville-Montgomery County Crime Stoppers celebrated their annual Blue Jean Ball fundraiser at the Wilma Rudolph Event Center on Saturday.

Attendees who came in their casual denim attire enjoyed dinner, a live auction, live music and dancing, as well as the opportunity for a photo in the Crime Stoppers jail.

“This event is our biggest annual fundraiser we do for Crime Stoppers,” Crime Stoppers Chairman Amber Key said. “We had a little over 260 people attend this year, and our hope was to raise $30,000 and we are almost there. We would love to thank the community for the support of this event.”

The nonprofit organization serves as an information resource for local law enforcement to help solve crimes, recover stolen property, confiscate illegal drugs, catch wanted fugitives, and convict criminals. The public is encouraged to submit anonymous tips on criminal activity in return for a cash reward. Tips to Crime Stoppers are kept completely confidential, a tipster is never asked for their name, just information on the crime.
