CLARKSVILLE, Tenn.- (CLARKSVILLENOW) The Clarksville Police Department reports shots were fired on Ford Street behind the Centerstone building Wednesday afternoon.
Clarksville Police received a call about a shooting at approximately 12:24 p.m. According to Jim Knoll with the Clarksville Police Department, a male victim was walking on Ford Street toward College when an individual in an older red Ford, possibly a Taurus model, started shooting in his direction.
The male victim sustained an injury in his leg and was flown to Vanderbilt where he was stabilized.
The suspect is reported to be a tall, slim light-skinned black male with an afro. The suspect fled in an unknown direction and the community is advised to avoid the area.
