CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – On October 2, the Clarksville Police Department hosted a retirement ceremony for Sgt. Mark Wojnarek.
Chief Al Ansley presented Sgt Wojnarek with a Certificate of Retirement and his service weapon. He was also presented with retirement gifts from his District Supervisor, Capt. Scott Thornton.

Sgt. Wojnarek served faithfully and honorably for 31 years at the Clarksville Police Department. He has been a Sergeant for 26 of his 31 years. Along with his natural ability to lead, his experience from Patrol Officer to a Detective and then to a Sergeant, made him a valuable asset to his Supervisors, the Officers he led, the CPD and the City of Clarksville.
The impact he made on the CPD and the Clarksville Community was evident today at his ceremony. The briefing room at Headquarters was full and some in attendance had to stand in the hallway. Several CPD Officers spoke about their time working with Sgt Wojnarek. His experience and professionalism will be missed.

In attendance with Sgt Wojnarek was his wife, Deena Wojnarek. The Clarksville Police Department would also like to thank those representing the City Council, Judge Smith, members of the Clarksville Police Academy Alumni (CPAA), other City Officials, family, and friends for attending this ceremony. Special thanks to the CPD staff who organized the ceremony.
Congratulations to Sgt Mark Wojnarek on his retirement!
