CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Clarksville Police continue their investigation into the hit-and-run wreck that left a pedestrian dead.
On Thursday, July 9, at about 11 p.m., Lilburn L. Evitts, 77, was on the 500 block of Providence Boulevard, between Oak Street and Plum Street, when he was hit by a vehicle that then left the scene, according to Clarksville Police Detective Mike Patterson.
Investigators are looking for a 4-door car with damage to the passenger side front headlight area and upon further investigation believe the car has a body style very similar to a 2016, 2017, and 2018 Nissan Altima, with damage to the front passenger side headlight area.
The individual that investigators were trying to identify as a “Person of Interest” turned himself in over the weekend, was interviewed, is no longer a “Person of Interest” and has been cleared.
