CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Clarksville Police took part in the arrest of a murder suspect from Cape Girardeau, Missouri, recently.
On July 22, CPD Detective Nathan Lee was contacted by investigators with Cape Girardeau Police Department in Missouri, according to police Sgt. Fontella Jones. They requested assistance locating Brandon Pratt, who has active warrants on file for second-degree murder and other charges stemming from a home invasion that resulted in the home owner being killed.
On July 24, at approximately 3 a.m., detectives, agents and members of the Clarksville Police Tactical Unit took Brandon Pratt into custody at 117 Sampson St., Jones said.
Pratt was booked into the Montgomery County Jail as a fugitive from justice awaiting extradition to Missouri.
Clarksville Police are also looking for Clarence Jamarr Smith of Cape Girardeau, who is also suspected of second-degree murder.

Smith is believed to still be in the Clarksville area. There is no additional information on known residences or vehicles at this time.
The community is asked to use caution. Anyone who sees Smith should call 911 immediately.
