CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The Clarksville Police Department announced Friday the arrest of two individuals thought responsible for nine car burglaries around the Peachers Mill area.
In the early morning of Oct. 26, CPD responded to a call from a homeowner about two individuals attempting to enter their vehicle in the 900 block of Christy Court according to a news release.
Upon arriving to the site of the incident, officers stopped a car that was leaving the immediate area. Two individuals were in the car, and police were able to get in contact with the driver who gave consent to police to search the vehicle. The news release indicates several items, including wallets containing victims identification and glass-breaking tools, were found in the car.
As a result of the investigation, CPD officers were able to conclude that at least nine vehicles had been burglarized in and around the 800 block of Peachers Mill Road by these same individuals.
One of the vehicles that was burglarized was entered by shattering one of its windows.
Both individuals were arrested and charged with nine counts of vehicle burglary, and one count each for the possession of burglary tools.
