CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Cases of COVID-19 in Clarksville-Montgomery County have continued to decline for the last four weeks, and six local Walmarts now offer the vaccine.
As of Monday, Feb. 15, the area has 757 active cases, which stands in contrast to the numbers from Jan. 18, when Montgomery County had 2,012 active cases.

Several Walmart locations in Clarksville are now offering the COVID-19 vaccine. These Clarksville locations have the vaccine, according to their immunization website: 2315 Madison St., 3050 Wilma Rudolph Blvd., 2551 Whitfield Road, 216 Dover Road, 1680 Fort Campbell Blvd., and 408 Tiny Town Road.
Visit that immunization site to make an appointment.
In total, 17,564 COVID-19 vaccines have been administered in Montgomery County as of Feb. 14. This means that 5.57% of the county has received at least one dose, and 2.82% of the population is fully vaccinated according to data from the vaccine dashboard on TDH’s website.
How to get the vaccine
To register for a vaccination appointment online, visit https://covid19.tn.gov/covid-19-vaccines/vaccine-phases/ to receive a vaccination through the county health department. Click Montgomery County on the map, click “Make an Appointment” to register, then enter the name and contact information to be notified of the appointment date, time and location as soon as the vaccine becomes available.
This website is open only to those 70 and older and those in 1a1 and 1a2 of the risk-based phases of the priority list from the state. Individuals who do not have access to the internet should call 866-442-5301 to make an appointment.

Here are the Montgomery County numbers updated on the county’s dashboard for Monday, Feb. 15:
- 16,973 total confirmed cases since March 6
- 757 active cases
- 241 total hospitalizations
- 201 total deaths
- 100,506 total negative lab results
All CMCSS students are learning remotely through Tuesday, Feb. 16, due to the winter storm. The CMCSS COVID-19 dashboard has not been updated since Feb. 11.
Here are the Austin Peay State University numbers from Feb. 14, according to their dashboard:
- 21 students with confirmed cases
- 53 students in quarantine
- 8 staff and faculty members with confirmed cases
- 9 staff and faculty members in quarantine
How to get a free COVID-19 test
Free COVID-19 testing is offered by the Montgomery County Health Department at the former Sears location at Governor’s Square Mall, located at 2801 Wilma Rudolph Blvd., from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Monday through Friday. Drive-thru testing is offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and self-administered kits are now available on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Follow the signs to the drive-up testing site.
