CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – A Clarksville couple has been charged in the death of an infant in their care.
According to a true bill from the August session of Montgomery County Circuit Court, James and Rachel Grohmann have been charged with the death of their child as the result of abuse and neglect.
Records say the child, who was born Aug. 22, 2015, suffered abuse and neglect between Aug. 22, 2015 and Nov. 24, 2015. The true bill says the Grohmanns “unlawfully, intentionally, or knowingly did neglect/abuse/engage in criminally negligent conduct” which resulted in the death of the child.
Details of the abuse were not listed.
Both were charged with two counts of aggravated child abuse and neglect and one count of criminally negligent homicide. Each has a bond of $200,000.
