MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Montgomery County Emergency Management Agency said it has received multiple calls from residents who live near West Fork Creek.

Residents are concerned about rising water levels from heavy rains and flooding this week.

Officials said there is no current method to predict any forthcoming water level increases or when it will begin receding.

The Cumberland and Red Rivers are equipped with measurement censors from the National Weather Service that assist with level predictions, but these censors are not available on West Fork Creek.

Anyone concerned with the possibility of water penetrating their homes is advised to move belongings to higher elevation until water levels crest.
