CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Montgomery County Government unveiled their newly created Veterans Network of Care Friday, April 24 at the William O. Beach Civic Hall in Veterans Plaza. The breakthrough website is for individuals, families and agencies concerned with veteran’s issues.

The Network of Care site, www.mcgtnvet.org, empowers veterans, service members, their families and service providers by offering online access to comprehensive services available within the Clarksville-Montgomery County and Fort Campbell area.
The new website will enable veterans, service members, and their families to educate themselves about their issues, understand current policy initiatives and advocate directly to elected officials, and better manage their affairs, interactions and important records.

Montgomery County Mayor Jim Durrett talked about the new site. “The website is designed to help our veterans, our active duty soldiers and their family members with issues they may have. It has 195 unique services offered to veterans and active duty soldiers in our community,” said Durrett.

Durrett added, “Our site goes as deep as something as serious as PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder). You can go in there and look for employment opportunities. You can actually go on there and look for some of the local services that we provide,” Durrett said.

The website was put together by Montgomery County personnel working with Trilogy Integrated Service of California. Mayor Durrett said this was the first site of its type in the southeast and in Tennessee. Durrett also said he is proud of the fact that Montgomery County is the first to offer such a site.
