Montgomery County, TN (CLARKSVILLENOW) – As part of their Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Transition Plan, The Montgomery County Government will hold a public comment period from September 17 to October 18, 2019.
Interested parties are requested to participate in the review of these documents, which will be available online beginning September 17. Physical copies of the document will also be available at the Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library, located at 350 Pageant Lane, Suite 501 and in the Montgomery County Mayor’s Office at 1 Millennium Plaza.
Additionally, a public meeting will be held September 17 at the Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library, beginning at 5 p.m. Attendees can inspect a draft of the transition plan and make their comments heard.
The ADA Transition Plan is a requirement of any entity that falls under Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act. It requires the county to evaluate all county owned facilities and identify structural barriers that impede access to people with disabilities, It also outlines any changes needed to ensure accessibility.
