CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Montgomery County Commissioner Jason Hodges will host a Town Hall meeting Thursday, July 27 at 6 p.m. at Pisgah Elementary.

Hodges and other officials will discuss upcoming county projects, consolidated government, and other topics of interest to constituents.

The Charter Commission Committee for Consolidated Government, whose members were approved by the City Council and County Commission, met for the first time last month.

The Commission is studying the proposal of new government, what the legislative body may consist of, who will be the top executive, who will be in charge of public safety, working out financial procedures, and determining public works.

Citizens concerned about issues like increased taxes, jobs, zoning issues, and gun law restrictions outside the city can address these topics and others during the Town Hall.
