CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Montgomery County Commissioners voted Monday to approve Mayor Jim Durrett’s appointments to the the Charter Commission Committee for Consolidated Government.
Appointees are Jay Runyon, Mark Kelly, Candy Johnson, Katie Gambill, Charlie Foust, Bob Yates, Katy Olitia, Don Jenkins, Carl Wilson, and Jon Hunter.
The 10 members will join the the City of Clarksville’s five members to begin work on a consolidated government charter for Clarksville-Montgomery County.
After being approved by the city and county, the charter for consolidated government will then be put to the voters in a referendum that could be on the ballot in 2018.
