With God’s arms around her, and with her family and dog by her side, Coral Eloise Irish Thomas, age 80, of Clarksville, left this earth for her eternal home in Heaven, Wednesday, July 27, 2016.

Coral was born March 1, 1936, in Sparta, MI, to the late Stanley and Ethelyn Irish.

Cherishing her memories, she is lovingly remembered by her husband, James T. Thomas of Clarksville; her daughter, Wanda (Tom) Ehmann of Anchorage, AK; her grandsons of whom she was so proud, Joel Ehmann of Washington and Sgt. Bryce Ehmann of Alaska.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Roger Irish; her first husband, Carl Wilson; and brothers-in-law, Leonard Abuja and Eugene Kennamer.

She leaves her siblings in Michigan, Harold (LaRain) Irish, Patricia Abuja, Linda (Bob) Liscombe, Sue (Bill) Seevers, Sally Kennamer, and many nieces, nephews, and good friends.

Coral left her large family early in her life to join the US Air Force. She had a long career in the Civil Service, traveling around the world, making friends who will all miss her dearly.

Coral was active in the Clarksville Friends of the Library, Daughters of the American Revolution (Captain William Edmiston Chapter), Republican Women, Clarksville Civitan, and was a life member of the Air Force Sergeant Association, holding multiple positions over the years. She also ran the library book sale for many years.

A celebration of her life will be held Monday, August 1, at 12:00 Noon, at the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home, with Rev. Byron Dumas officiating. Burial will follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West, in Hopkinsville. Visitation will be Monday, August 1, from 10:00 AM until the hour of service, at the funeral home.
