CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – An officer with the Clarksville Police Department found a surprise on his porch as he left for work Saturday.

Someone had delivered a pumpkin decorated as a police officer to Officer Christopher Bailey’s home with a note that said, “We appreciate you! Thank a Police Officer, Sept. 19, 2015.”

A photo of the pumpkin surprise was posted to the department’s Facebook page.

The post said Bailey wanted the pumpkin decorator to know he appreciated the gesture.

“I just thought it was sweet, and a reminder that the folks of this town do care about their officers.”

Saturday was “Tell a Cop Thank You Day.”
