CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW.COM) The Friends of Dunbar Cave present a throwback to Dunbar’s past as a music and dance cave with Cooling at the Cave.

The event takes place at the entrance of the cave Saturday, July 30 from 3-5 p.m.

The Cumberland Winds Jazz Project will play at the cool cave entrance and dancing is encouraged.

Free refreshments will be provided with a donation. T-shirts and memberships are available to purchase.

This event is open to the public.

Prior to the widespread use of air conditioning, locals would gather at Dunbar Cave for concerts and to enjoy the cool air blowing from the mouth of the cave.

For several years, the Friends of Dunbar Cave group has put on Cooling at the Cave to recreate this atmosphere.
