Connie Laree Fortner, age 68 passed away on Tuesday, July 5th at Grace Healthcare in Clarksville.
She was born in Mt. Carmel, IL on May 26th, 1948 to the late William Clifford and Viola Ruth Peisher Burton. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Edward Fortner, son Thomas Grubb and brother Charles Burton.
She was a nurse for forty years, and worked in the OB unit at hospitals located in Illinois, Indiana, and Kentucky.
She is survived by her sons, Danny Johnson (Kristi); and daughter Kristie Fisher (Jeremy); step –sons Steve, Shaun and Brenton Fortner; and step-daughter, Rachelle Funkhouser; brothers Clifford and Jim Burton; and sisters Valerie Patterson and Neva Grubb.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Cory, Jessica, Zachariah and Gunner Johnson; Sarah, Eleana, and Katherine; Kloe , Kylie, Sierra, Broklynn, and Caine Fortner.
