CLARKSVILLE, TN – American Legion CSM Gary W. Crisp Post 289 proudly welcomed Congressman Matt Van Epps during a recent visit to the post. During the meeting, Congressman Van Epps officially transferred his American Legion membership to Post 289, strengthening his ties to the Clarksville veteran community.

Van Epps was introduced to the membership by Commander Andy Berard, who presented him with a new American Legion welcome packet and an American Legion lapel pin.

Van Epps discussed his current legislative priorities and programs serving Tennessee’s 7th Congressional District, highlighting efforts focused on veterans’ services, economic development, and support for military families.

Following his remarks, Van Epps answered questions from Post members in an open discussion about issues affecting local veterans and the Clarksville community.

Post leadership expressed appreciation for Van Epps’ visit and his decision to make Post 289 his Legion home, noting his continued commitment to veterans and their families.
