CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) Close to 100 people gathered at the home of Reverend Jimmy Terry Wednesday evening to join in a chorus of hymns for the ailing minister.

Reverend Terry, of Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church, is battling cancer, but with a little help from his family he was able to step out on his back deck to see everyone who had come to join him in music and prayer. After the singing and a prayer, Terry thanked everyone for being there.

Recently, Terry was honored with a proclamation from Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan for his many years of service to the community. Terry is well-known for his campaigns to “Christmas is all about Jesus” and “Easter is all about Jesus” signs around the city.
