CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) A community meeting is being held Tuesday, July 17 to talk about health and economic issues affecting Montgomery County.

The meeting is being hosted by the Tennessee Justice Center and will take place at the Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library from 1-2 p.m.

The Tennessee Justice Center says the State Legislature has barred citizens from using $1.4 billion a year in federal Medicaid funding, which would reportedly generate and preserve jobs, sustain healthcare infrastructure and cover uninsured working families.

“The purpose of the meeting is for the local community to talk about local health care concerns and to talk about ways that people in the community can take action for policy solutions to address those local health care concerns,” Keila Franks, Field Director for the Tennessee Justice Center, said.

The Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library is located at 350 Pageant Lane in Veterans Plaza.
