Commodities to be distributed to those in need

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The Clarksville-Montgomery County Community Action Agency will offer Commodity Distribution Dec. 20 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Cumberland Presbyterian Church at 1410 Golf Club Lane.

Commodities are distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis, with one distribution per household. The program is available to all eligible recipients regardless of race, color, sex, age, handicap, or national origin.

This project is funded under an agreement with The Department of Agriculture. The Clarksville-Montgomery County Community Action Agency is funded by 25 percent state, 57 percent federal, and 18 percent local contributions.

The Commodity Distribution is in need of volunteers, and anyone interested can call 896-1800 for more information.
