Contributed commentary by County Commissioner David Harper:
I have known Jeff Bryant for a good period of time leading up to his pursuit of the Montgomery County Highway Supervisor position. Since being elected to the County Commission in 2014, I have had the opportunity to interact with many people regarding the infrastructure of our county. I continue to stress the importance of investment in a proactive manner into infrastructure in our community.
There is a famous quote that is often incorrectly attributed to Albert Einstein which says, “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.”
In my opinion, Jeff sees where we are presently and that we need to increase our infrastructure as we continue to grow. Jeff has the vision to understand that in order for us as a county to get to our desired future, we have to know where we are today. His qualifications as an engineer allow him to utilize more options than perhaps others realize we have. He has suggested solutions to me in a couple of instances that could be very cost-effective and perhaps trendsetting for our area. This election is a great opportunity to change the direction and ensure the results for our infrastructure that we all desperately need in our community. It is my hope and wish that you will join my family in supporting Jeff Bryant for County Highway Supervisor.
