CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – In addition to a Winter Storm Warning being issued for Montgomery County, a Cold Weather Advisory has been issued as well.
The Cold Weather Advisory will take effect tomorrow at midnight and run until 10 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 20. The National Weather Service has reported wind chills are expected to be between 5 above to 4 below zero.
“Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin is exposed to these temperatures. Wind chill values can lead to hypothermia with prolonged exposure,” said NWS. The National Weather Service says to use caution while traveling outside and to wear appropriate clothing, which includes a hat and gloves.
