CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Get ready to take care of those outdoor plants and flowers as we look for a chance of the first frost of the season this weekend.

Meteorologist John Cohen with the National Weather Service said a cold front along with a chance of light showers will pass through Thursday night into early Friday morning bringing a good chance of frost to start off the weekend.

“By Saturday morning, were going to be looking at temperatures in the Clarksville area down into the mid 30’s. That could set the stage for some frost here and there,” said Cohen.

Cohen added the weather service has not yet issued a frost advisory but they are looking at the possibility of putting one out soon.

Mostly cloudy skies are forecast for Sunday with rain Monday night into Tuesday and a warming trend throughout much of next week.
